Apple Picking!

Last Sunday my hunk a lunk and i were invited on a last minute apple picking trip.

as in the night before at like nine o'clock.

im so glad he can be spur of the moment and spend the whole next day with my friends and i.

we spent most of the day in Oak Tree Village in Oakglenn. The second we drove down the street pass this place i was instantly in love. i was caught saying, "i want to live here." its the closest this so.cal country lovin' girl could get to real country out here. If i could, i would have never left! 

To the left: the boys and their girls. There were so many things for the kids to do. Pony rides, train rides, petty zoo, pig races, bounce houses, huge slides. it had a great "family" atmosphere, but still plenty of things for people without kids to enjoy too! To the right: the view. priceless.

It was so much fun just relaxing in Gods perfection, with good people whom i love to death, and the innocence and curiosity of little people. i should have become an elementary school teacher, they are so much fun!

Hands down, the most perfect day!

November the fifth

this day ten years ago marks

the worst days of my life.

it changed almost everything about the way i viewed the world, my parents,

my friends, the authorities but mostly myself.

i often wonder how i would have turned out if this event hadn't happened?

or if i had dealt with it differently.

i was fourteen

one out of every six American women will be a victim of sexual assault.

if you know someone, or you are someone who has experienced something like this,

please talk about it. you can try to run and hide from it like i did.

you cant change the past, but you can change the future and what you make of it.

this is the first time I've ever said anything like this on a public basis, but I'm done hiding. it happened. i want other women around the world to know that they are not alone, and to please reach out to those around you.

 

im not posting this to get im sorry comments this happened and so on,

just keep in mind this is real. when a friend needs you, be there for them, even if you dont know how

just hold their hand, sit with them, anything is better than nothing.

it hasn't been cool here in the so cal at all up until the past week.

and I'm exaggerating with cool, i mean 75. but I'll take what i can get.

the recent

 in southern california its not every day its over 90 degrees,

but for the last 2 weeks it has been.

this is my life (after the 9-5)

this is the tannest i've been in my entire life..

im proud.

let me share with you a horrific story about waves, sand, and my bathing suit.

last sunday i went to the beach with my hunk a lunk.

i normally do not go in that water, you know with all the fish gutts, shark poop and killer sea lions.

but he got me to go in and try body boarding. something i hadnt done since i was 10.

first wave i get, it takes me tumbling, i didnt know which way was up.

so when i finally come up i have salt water dripping down my face, as i take time to wipe it off, im facing the pretty people on the beach, to look down and my bathing suit top was only covering my side boob.

thats right i flashed the entire beach.

i hope they liked their show, cause it sure mortified me. and i had sand in places i didnt even know possible.

so waves/sand/bathing suit = no bueno flashing.

first home made blueberry martini.

bomd digady.

make blueberry syrup

boil

1 cup water

1/2 cup sugar

1 twig of thyme

1/2 cup blueberries

let simmer for 10 min.

mix

blue berry syrup

3 oz. vodka

2 oz. lemon juice.

 pour and enjoy!

What have ya'll been up to the last weeks of summer?

I cant believe its already august 16!!

lifes a beach

at least that's what it's been for the past 2 weeks.

2 weeks ago i was living on the beach at Lake Mojave with my hunk a lunk.

then last week was living on the beach at lake San Antonio with the fam.

man it was fun, but man am i glad to be home

no more squatting over the toilet, although i think my thighs are more toned.

no more snakes, and no more bugs.

we camped shortly up this hill. this is the group we were with.

this is proof that i tent camped. I've grown up camping, and i do love it. but my back does not.

i spent most nights laying flat on the air mattress. i think next year i will need a motor home..hint hint Mr Santa. and i wont be tubing. the inner child yells, "do it!" my body yells "are you crazy?!" i feel like an old lady and I'm only 24.

the last day a storm rolled in, the first after 10 years of going to this lake.

it was beautiful, and didn't stop any fun.

only two more weeks until school starts!

summer has flown too fast!
